Documentation-based guide

Based on upstream documentation. These steps have not been independently tested in the desktop app; menu labels and behavior may differ by release.

Step by step

  1. What makes it worth trying

The project offers a native Rust editor, open-source code, layered editing and automation interfaces. You can try the official web build here before choosing a desktop package.

  2. Who should test a copy

Learners, open-source users and automation experimenters can explore a small task with reversible edits. Read the tutorial for that specific workflow and keep the input unchanged.

  3. Who needs extra validation

Production users depending on complex typography, external plug-ins or exact layered exchange should check the upstream gaps and test a representative job. The project remains early alpha.

  4. Run a complete trial

Open a sample, make the required changes, save a new editable file, export the deliverable and reopen it in the receiving application. Website browser tests verify our selected workflows, not every upstream editing feature.
